Inspired by Nick Rowland's dramatic volcano painting, the children in P6/7 (and a few P5s) explored their creativity by creating both digital and physical versions of their own volcanic art.
Using Paint 3D, they employed digital tools such as brushes, colour fill, and texture effects to bring their visions to life with vibrant, eruptive designs.
For their physical paintings, they experimented with dynamic techniques, including flicking paint to mimic fiery sparks, dropping paint to create the look of flowing lava, and blowing through straws to produce the explosive energy of an eruption.
The results were bold, expressive pieces that captured the power and beauty of a volcanic explosion. We think you’ll agree that they all produced some amazing art for our topic!
