This morning the children from Killyman Primary School came to play with the children at Laghey Primary School. We started off with snack, then we enjoyed some outside time with free play as the weather was lovely. We provided several balls and hula hoops and the children enjoyed organising their own games. We then came back inside and the children chose a spot to play. Everyone enjoyed playtime and the children had access to the home corner, in the construction area, the sand area, play dough, the lego table, the writing table and the junk art area. The children played well together, and they were establishing common interests. A lady from Shared Education came to visit during our session and she was impressed by how well the children were playing and enjoying each other’s company. We then read the story of Rosie’s Hat and discussed different things that may blow away in the wind and this was a perfect opportunity to go outside and play with bubbles! Such a lovely session of play and connection and we look forward to our next meeting!
