Today we had great fun at our first Forest Schools session in Dungannon Park. We learned a lot about trees today: how they grow from seeds, germinate and spread their roots and we even got to touch some real new tree roots. We showcased our artistic talents by creating lots of wonderful pictures of trees from all our finds in the forest. Our facilitators also challenged our spellings by asking us to spell some tree themed words- but without our pencils and paper, we had to rely on nature and spell our words using twigs. We had such excellent fun in the great outdoors and we are looking forward to our other sessions already!
