Our P6/7 pupils took their maths learning outdoors this week, engaging in hands-on investigations that brought measurement and geometry to life!
Equipped with trundle wheels, the children worked collaboratively to calculate the area and perimeter of our green yard, applying their measuring skills to a real-world context. They also explored shape and space by constructing various geometric figures using natural materials, then challenged themselves to calculate their area and perimeter. To add an extra element of fun, they even created human shapes on the ground and worked together to measure their dimensions accurately!
It was fantastic to see the pupils applying their mathematical knowledge in such an interactive way, developing problem-solving skills while enjoying the fresh air. Well done, everyone!
