Yesterday, our P.3&4s got to experience what it was like in the Ancient Egyptian times by mummifying a tomato. We followed our instructions from our Literacy lesson and used these to start creating our own ‘mummy’. The children had great fun scooping out the “organs” and covering their tomato with natron. Now we just have to wait a few weeks and observe how our experiment takes hold.
