In Primary 1 and 2 our World Around Us topic is Pirates and we have been having great fun exploring this theme. This week, we have been drawing treasure maps. The children eagerly drew islands, mountains, and hidden treasures. Each child added their own unique touch, from pirate ships to mysterious X marks. Once the maps were complete, we moved on to the next exciting step: making it look old. We added coffee granules to water and had great fun dipping each map in! When the maps dried, the children marvelled at their creations. Their maps now looked like a genuine artifact that would help them to find a treasure chest!
