Today in P.3&4 we used Lego and Duplo blocks to explore division. Children were able to use a range of sizes of blocks and tasked to create as many configurations and division sums as possible. This was an excellent activity which allowed for lots of collaboration, creative thinking and partnership. It was great to see and hear the children helping each other out, explaining techniques and solving problems. Many of them were surprised that they could learn division through blocks, and what’s more most said they had Lego at home so could continue to learn and explore!
